Physical Therapy
FOCUSED ON THE CAUSE: Physical therapy is for the treatment of injuries involving muscles, tendons, bones, ligaments, and nerves. Injuries can happen for a variety of different reasons, so even people with the same injury are not treated the same. There is no cookie-cutter approach here. This is why Dr. Sarah performs a thorough evaluation to determine the source of the pain and not just treat the symptoms.
NOT YOUR NORMAL PT: Many people associate physical therapy with being put on a bike to warm up, given a sheet of exercises, and only getting to spend 15 minutes with your therapist. Stronger Performance Physical Therapy is DIFFERENT! Dr. Sarah works completely 1:1 in hour long sessions to get the most focused and intentional work done, resulting in better outcomes and less visits needed. She does manual therapy to work on muscles and joint function and then carefully coaches exercises so you know exactly what muscle you are working, why you are doing it, and how it will help you achieve your goals.
PRIVACY: Physical therapy is offered inside of Next Fit Clubs (Hillsborough) with a private room for evaluations and manual therapy work with full access to the entire gym for strengthening during the rehab process and ability to assess technique to create a comprehensive rehab program.
Body Tempering | muscle recovery | Injury Prevention
- Looking for a way to avoid injuries or recovery better? Dr. Sarah uses her same manual therapy techniques (deep tissue/trigger point work) as she does during physical therapy sessions, but for the purpose of decreasing knots and increasing flexibility so you can move your best and minimize injury risk.
- She also uses a technique called Body Tempering, which is the use of weighted rollers and tools to provide a deep massage and allow the body to calm any areas of tension.

Frequently asked questions
How do I set up an appointment?
The easiest way is to head to Dr. Sarah’s website (www.strongerperformancept.com) and click on the red schedule button. If you have any questions and want to make sure this is the right physical therapy option for you, feel free to contact Dr. Sarah directly via phone or email to discuss your situation before scheduling.
Do you take my insurance?
- Stronger Performance Physical Therapy is out of network with all insurance except for Medicare.
- Being out of network allows Dr. Sarah to spend the entire hour focused only on you. There are no other patients during your time and no aides or students to take over your session. This allows for quicker recovery times and less visits needed than a typical therapy clinic.
- However, Dr. Sarah can provide a receipt which you can submit to your insurance for possible out of network reimbursement. HSA/FSA is accepted.
Do I need to see a doctor or have a prescription to come see you?
- In the state of New Jersey, Direct Access laws allow patients to come directly to a physical therapist first! You only need a prescription if you have Medicare. During the evaluation, if it is determined that you should see a physician or have imaging, Dr. Sarah will discuss the best path for you and refer you to the appropriate health care professional.
